Knock! Knock! Trick or Treat!
I open the door
Ghost and Goblins do I greet
Innocent faces
Smiling up at me, Kinda spooky yet Sweet!
Mr. Jack O’ Lantern lights up the night,
Been happily growing all the Summer Season
Little did he know of his ultimate Plight
Yes, his existence did have a Reason!
All Hollowed out and carved up
Hero but for a few hours as he gives
His all to bring Young Hearts such Delight!
Mommies and Daddies following behind
Their Precious Daughters or Sons,
Grinning and giggling
Secretly enjoying all of their Fun
Memories brought back of their own Childhood
Running from door to door
The Hijinks they played that are all
Now Yester Years Fun!
Those same Parents all know their Little ones
Will soon enough be all Grown
And wish for them to have children of their own
So they too can enjoy this time
Spent together in Frolick and Fun
For Life is Too short to have experienced none!
