Sweet Innocence
Nightingales singing neath a full moon, Lovers strolling listening with sheer delight, To Creation captured in rapturous tune, ‘Till just before Mourns sweet Plight.
At this moment no cares have they, Only sweet Love doth fill each heart, None of Life’s barriers is perceived in their way, Promises made never to Part.
Forget for the moment what the Future may bring, Hold each other tight and never let go, Listen to only what music Nature doth sing, Innocent Faith that the Future will always be so.
Nothing Evil can touch us here, As we walk together along the Path, Hold me to thy bosom, clasp me tight m’dear, Safe Forever from this World’s Wrath!
